Jacques Pinget joins Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Jacques Pinget

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris has recruited Jacques Pinget as vice president for corporate relations, effective 7 September.

Pinget was the chief executive officer of SATT Lutech, the tech transfer organisation aligned with the Sorbonne University Alliance, from July 2018 to December 2023. Since then, he has worked as a freelance consultant.

Pinget’s recruitment follows the institute’s decision to separate the roles of vice president for corporate relations and director of corporate development and partnerships.

Sylvaine Neveu, who has held both roles since January 2022, will continue as director of corporate development and partnerships, tasked with operational management and the development of the department’s activities.

Pinget brings more than three decades of commercialisation experience to his new role. His previous roles also include director of the UTC Foundation at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne from September 2014 to July 2018.

“I am deeply honoured to join the Institut Polytechnique de Paris at a key moment in its development. Major scientific, technological, industrial, and societal challenges require ever-closer cooperation between research institutions and corporations,” says Pinget. “I am convinced that the scientific quality of IP Paris, the excellence of its programmes, and the richness of its innovation ecosystem are exceptional assets for building ambitious strategic partnerships that serve innovation, competitiveness, and technological sovereignty.”
