UVC Partners, the venture capital firm aligned with TU Munich, has named Amanda Birkenholz and Alexander Huber as partners.
Birkenholz joined UVC Partners as an investment manager in June 2021, then was promoted to principal in August 2023. Her focus is on chemicals, physical AI, defence, space, and software closely linked to hardware.
Huber joined as director of finance in April 2020, and was promoted to chief financial officer in January 2022. His appointment is the first addition to UVC’s partnership from outside the investment team.
His focus has been on finance, legal, and compliance, as well as fund structuring, controlling, and risk management. Portfolio companies he has supported to date include Isar Aerospace, which this week achieved the first-ever commercial launch to orbit from continental Europe.
UVC Partners has grown to €800 million in assets under management since it was formed in 2011. It is currently raising the €150 million Growth Opportunities Fund II, whose LPs include KfW Capital.
