Children’s National Hospital has recruited Abhishek Sangal as the director of innovation and the technology transfer office.
Sangal joins from Boston Children’s Hospital, where he served as the associate director of licensing since May 2025. He worked for Boston Children’s Hospital since November 2021, initially as a senior licensing manager.
“As I reflect on the past several years, I do so with deep gratitude. My time at Boston Children’s Hospital was both meaningful and rewarding, and I was fortunate to work on very unique and complex challenges that expanded my skills and perspective. I’m also especially grateful to my colleagues and mentors for their trust, collaboration, and guidance. I had the privilege of working with an exceptional leader, Irene Abrams, whose support I deeply appreciate. The lessons I’ve learned will stay with me. I’m very proud of what we accomplished together and sincerely appreciative of the opportunity to have contributed to that work.
“I’m excited to join Children’s National Hospital as the director of innovation and technology transfer office, where I look forward to helping shape the program, support researchers, and partner with industry to advance innovation and commercialisation. I’m energised by the opportunity to help foster an environment where ideas can grow and make a real impact.”
