Dedric Carter , the vice chancellor for innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development and the chief innovation officer at the University of North Carolina (UNC)-Chapel Hill, is moving into a similar role with the UNC Health Care System.
From 8 December, Carter will serve as vice president for commercialisation and translational advancement in a system-wide role that will see him develop commercialisation strategies for the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health.
