Emad Shihab has been appointed associate vice president of research, policy, entrepreneurship and impact at Concordia University, effective 1 November.
He has previously served as associate dean of research and innovation at the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, where he helped launch the GCS Innovation Fund.
