Emma Siljeäng leaves Chalmers Ventures after a decade

Emma Siljeäng

Emma Siljeäng , who has been the chief financial officer of Chalmers Ventures since it was set up in 2015, stepped down today.

She had also served as Chalmers Ventures’ chief of staff since 2017.

Siljeäng said in a LinkedIn post that she would be starting a new job this August, but did not reveal any further details.

Her time with the university predates Chalmers Ventures: she previously worked for Encubator since 2011.

Encubator was an incubator that merged with fellow programme Chalmers Innovation and investment vehicle Chalmersinvest to form Chalmers Ventures.

The university initially allocated SEK30 million for investments per year, subsequently tripling its commitment to SEK90 million1 per year.

Chalmers Ventures’ portfolio has reached a valuation of over SEK2 billion2. The fund has celebrated 26 exits to date.

Chalmers Ventures has been led by Pontus Ottosson since January 2014, when he took over from Sara Wallin, who then became group CEO at the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation.
