Cambridge x Manchester enlists Faye Holland to lead partnership

Faye Holland

The Cambridge x Manchester Innovation Partnership, which aims to connect innovation activities across the two English cities, has hired Faye Holland as partnership director.

The role will see Holland lead the partnership, which was launched in August 2025 to maximise the impact of complementary innovation assets across sectors such as AI, life sciences, and advanced materials.

She will split her time between Cambridge and Manchester, working closely with the leadership teams at Innovate Cambridge and Unit M.

“I’m thrilled to be leading this partnership at a time when collaboration across the UK’s innovation ecosystems has never been more important.

“Cambridge and Greater Manchester are two of the UK’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems and by working together we can deliver far greater impact than either could alone. I’m excited to work with partners across both cities to move quickly and define a model for collaboration that could be replicated across the UK.”

Faye Holland

Holland is an exited founder, having sold her innovation communications consultancy cofinitive last December after building the business for 11 years.

She is currently the chair of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, and her previous board experiences include the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.

She has also been a co-host of the Cambridge Tech Podcast since 2022, discussing the regional innovation ecosystem and interviewing experts.
