IIT Bombay creates ₹2.5 billion Y Point Venture Capital Fund

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay’s incubator, the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), has launched a ₹2.5 billion venture capital fund aimed at early-stage deeptech spinouts.

The Y Point Venture Capital Fund will focus on preseed and seed-stage companies spun off from IIT Bombay, although it will be able to also invest in startups originating from other universities and research institutes.
