Kevin Gardner, Stony Brook’s VP for research and innovation, steps down

Kevin Gardner

Kevin Gardner , Stony Brook University’s vice president for research and innovation, is stepping down from his position at the end of the month to return to faculty.

Gardner has been in his current role since May 2024, when he joined from the University of Louisville. At the latter institution, he had served as executive vice president for research and innovation since January 2020.
