Mila, a research institute focused on artificial intelligence in Quebec, Canada, is developing its own venture fund to back startups emerging from its research.
The fund’s development is led by strategic adviser Jonathan Shaanan . He was previously the managing director of Cicle K Ventures, the corporate VC arm of retailer Alimentation Couche-Tard, for three years.
