Origgin Ventures, a Singapore-based venture co-creation firm, launched Origgin Ventures Japan today, intending to raise $30 million for a fund targeting university spinouts.

Origgin is partnering with local outfit Interuniversity Ventures, and both will act as general partners for the fund. It will also look to co-create corporate spinoffs and is joining forces with local VC firm GxPartners for this purpose.
