The government of Sweden is putting SEK40 million into 20 university holding companies throughout the country, with Lund University’s LU Ventures securing the lion’s share at SEK5.24 million.

University holding companies typically function as the commercialisation and investment arms of Swedish universities, where professors’ privilege means that faculty own any IP they generate.
