WU Ignite Ventures is the investment arm of WU Vienna. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the WU Foundation, and provides €50,000 of preseed financing. The money is invested in two tranches in the form of a SAFE note. To be eligible for investment, a company must have one founder linked to WU Vienna (faculty, student or alumnus/alumna) with significant equity and an operational role. WU Ignite Ventures was established in July 2025.
