Constructor Group, a Switzerland-based education, science and technology services provider, has closed a $110 million fund to invest in seed and series A companies commercialising academic research.
Constructor Capital will focus on deep tech, edtech and software companies, backing technologies such as quantum computing.
The fund plans to lead and co-lead investment rounds, and it has partnered with more than 50 universities.
Constructor Group was founded by physicist Serg Bell and has owned several education providers over the years. It continues to own Constructor University, a private university in Bremen, Germany.
