The Francis Crick Institute, a biomedical research centre backed by multiple universities in London, has expanded its entrepreneurship team with three new recruitments.
Jo Mills has been hired as head of entrepreneurship and KQ Labs, the institute’s five-month accelerator programme, which invests £40,000 in early-stage startups developing AI-driven drug discovery, precision medicine, and digital health products.
Ella Moonan-Howard has joined as KQ Labs’ programme manager and Faye Murphy as programme coordinator.
Beth Massam had already been promoted to ecosystem and events programme manager in November last year, after having served as the accelerator’s community and events officer from August 2024.
The Francis Crick Institute is a partnership between the Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, the Wellcome Trust, University College London, Imperial College London, and King’s College London. It counts more than 2,000 researchers across more than 100 research groups.
