Texas Tech recruits James Reecy as VP for research and innovation

James Reecy

Texas Tech University has named James Reecy as its new vice president for research and innovation, effective 1 July.

Reecy has spent the last 27 years at Iowa State University, where is a professor in the Department of Animal Science.

In 2009, he was appointed director of the Office of Biotechnology, and in 2017 he became the associate vice president for research, overseeing a $466 million research enterprise.
