Sintija Meissner has joined the Czech Technical University as head of tech transfer and entrepreneurship after a year and a half working in venture capital.
From March 2025 to last month, Meissner was the investments and portfolio lead at Czech Founders VC, which invests throughout the Central and Eastern European region, and the investments and community lead at United Founders, an early-stage pan-European fund.
Before this, she founded Mámapy, which helped parents navigate family-friendly places across Prague.
Meissner spent much of her earlier career in business development roles for multiple companies, most latterly Livesport News from 2020 to 2022.
CTU, the oldest technical university in Europe, has been building out its innovation activities for a few months.
In February, Jakub Nešetřil was recruited as vice rector for business and entrepreneurship. He was previously founder and CEO of Matika Česku, a nonprofit dedicating to improve maths literacy.
Lucie Bresova joined the university last week together with Meissner, serving as chief industry relations officer and chair of the industry advisory board. She was previously a partner at Presto Ventures.
